Organizing Made Simple Services

Our goal is to use our experience, knowledge, and expertise to assist you in simplifying your life, arranging your space, and preparing your home, business, and boat to flow easily, reduce stress, be more efficient.  We recommend the highest quality products and best solutions for the least amount of time and money.  We also implement our designs and recommendations— either working with you or on our own— from plan to completion. 

Our hourly rates:

  • $60 Home

  • $70 Boat

  • $80 Business  

Teaching basic building & "Do-it-Yourself" skills is an innovative approach we enjoy.  "Simple Peace" is the design model we apply. Our way of living simply... living well.

Home

 
Whole House Survey
If your home is a bit overwhelming, clutter is dominating your life, or you know there is a better way to organize your things but don't know where to begin, this is the place to start.  The client uses a clipboard to take notes (product/space recommendations) while we also take notes and measurements.  We include these in a printed report, which is mailed to the client a few days after the survey.  Products, systems, measurements, and space-use recommendations are included.  Each drawer, cabinet, closet, room, and storage space is analyzed for use of space, placement of furniture, systems in place that are working or not, and products that will accommodate the homeowners' requirements, budget, and dreams. 

Time: 3-4 hours for an average 3 bed/2 bath home

Cost: $250-325 ($60 an hour over 4 hours)

 

Room / Area Estimate
If you are focusing on one or two rooms/areas of your home, this is for you.  More time is concentrated on evaluating your needs/desires for space usage and design.  Measurements of the rooms/areas, all drawers, closets, and relevant spaces are included.  A report is mailed a few days after the consultation.

Time: 1-1˝ hours for one or two rooms/areas

Cost: $90-140 ($60 an hour over 1˝ hours)

 

Move Out / Move In Review

Before you make your next move, make the time to analyze how you've used the space you are coming from and how you can optimize the space you are moving into.  Getting "the bones" in place before you move in gives you a "home" for your things... eases the stress of the moving process.  A consultation takes place and both properties are visited and reviewed.  A report is generated which includes space planning/design, measurements of drawers, cabinets, closets, rooms (to take with you as you shop for organizing ), and product recommendations.

Time: Varies according to circumstance.

Cost: $60 an hour

 

"Empty-Nest" Downsizing

Don't become overwhelmed with your possessions when you decide to downsize and simplify your life.  There are options available to you that you may want to consider.  Report left with recommendations.

Cost: $60 an hour

 

Emergency Preparedness

No matter what the emergency, let us help you organize your "Safe Room/Area" and prepare your family to respond with confidence and calm. Two copies— one for you and one for a friend or loved one— of the "Crisis Checklist," along with an electrical blackout food safety chart and a "Light Stick" are left with a report and recommendations.

Time: Varies according to circumstance.

Cost: $60 an hour

u NOTE: We charge ˝ our hourly rate for "Travel Time" (over 20 minutes from Annapolis) and "Material Time" (to collect the materials needed for a project).  We do not "mark up" the materials for profit; we pass along the price and the receipts to our clients.  A "Shopping List" is provided for clients who prefer to get the materials on their own to have on hand when we arrive for our scheduled appointment.

 

Business

 

Business Survey

Analyzing your workplace for information flow, paper/file storage, ergonomic workspace/cubby comfort, layout, and desk space efficiency is one of the best business decisions you can make.  Interviews are conducted with the business owner/principals and, if desired, employees to determine the best, most efficient solutions for the available space.  A comprehensive report is mailed containing analysis, measurements, space and product recommendations.

Time: Varies according to circumstances.

Cost: $80 an hour

Boat

 

On-the-Water Review

From stem to stern, power or sail, your boat is both a home away from home and a self-sufficient floating capsule.  Every square inch is valuable and should be used to its best advantage.  Extensive dialogue with boat owner is conducted to access their needs, desires, and usage/boating plans.  Every locker, drawer, storage area is analyzed for safety, practicality, easy access, and space design.  A report is mailed with analysis, measurements, and product recommendations.

Time: Varies according to circumstance.

Cost: $70 an hour

 

Customized Boat Organizing: $70 an hour

 

Gift Certificates are available for any of the above services or by the hour.

Prices are subject to change.  Please call to verify.  Payment is due at the end of each session.  We require 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel appointments so that we may fill the time allotment.  Less notice will necessitate a $60 fee.  We appreciate your consideration.
